How to Pray for Bible-less People

Pray that they may hear.
“And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” (Romans 10:14 NIV)

Pray that they may believe.
“But the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.” (Hebrews 4:2 NIV)

Pray that they may have the Bible in their own language.
“These orders were written in the script of each province and in the language of each people.” (Esther 8:9 NIV)

Pray that they may read or have read to them the translated Scriptures.
“Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it read and take to heart what is written in it…” (Revelation 1:3 NIV)

Pray that resulting indigenous churches will use the Scriptures.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV)
