Wycliffe Africa is all about Bible translation and literacy on the African continent.

Who We Are
Wycliffe Africa is a non-governmental organization that facilitates ownership of Bible translation process by Africans and African churches by recruiting African missionaries. We currently have members in Madagascar, Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria but expect to grow into other countries, especially countries where a local Wycliffe organization has not been established. Our headquarter is in Nairobi, Kenya. We are part of a larger, worldwide body of Bible Translation organizations.

Our Mission
Wycliffe Africa is a non-profit faith-based mission agency operating in Africa with the mandate of mobilizing, partnering, capacity building, and networking with the Church in Africa for effective involvement in global missions through the ministry of Bible Translation More about Bible translation...

Our Vision
“Transformed communities through Bible Translation by the African Church.”

What We Believe
We adhere to the following truths.

Our Role
We recruit and prepare workers for Bible translation and other supporting roles. We provide a structure for people to raise their finances, get training, start in a project, or take up a supporting role. We continue to provide expertise, encouragement, guidance about further training, and many other services to our members.

We Need You
We rely on the Biblical principle that the Church and its members should provide
support for its missionaries through finances, prayer, and encouragement as they serve in Wycliffe Africa. The Church is a valuable partner to its missionaries.
